If you would have told me years ago, that I would be starting over – new city, new career, new routine, new dreams, and the biggest – moving away from my mom, I would have laughed. And yet, here I am, writing this post and starting something that feels both exciting and scary at the same time.
I’m Hannah, a former career nanny turned fitness coach, a wife, and now, a long distance everything.

When my husband, Griffin had to make the choice of medical school location, it was a lot of emotions. I was scared, excited, apprehensive, nervous, you name it! Moving and finding a new career seemed so overwhelming.

Before we moved, I was, like I mentioned, a career nanny. I did it all; the boogers, the wiping, the swaddles, the shushing, the play, the discipline, and everything in between. Caring for children and families was more than a job – it shaped so much of who I am. I learned patience, resilience, creativity, and how to show up for someone day after day. But when we moved, I knew it was time for a new chapter.
That’s how I found myself leaning into my passion for health and wellness, and continuing to care for others. I started working at a gym in our new city and they offered me a space to become a women’s fitness coach, with a heart for helping women – especially for moms and moms-to-be. Coaching has showed me that strength isn’t just about lifting weights or checking off workouts. It’s about building confidence, finding joy in movement, and building a foundation that carries into every part of your life.
And so, Oh My Grosh was born – a space for all these pieces of my life to come together.
I want this blog to be a place where women feel comfortable being in the ‘lost stage’. It’s okay to be reaching for more, searching for purpose, yearning for guidance. I want this to be a place for moms and nannies alike to laugh at similar experiences and be understanding to struggles. Ultimately I want Oh My Grosh to be a place where women feel less alone, where fitness feels empowering (not punishing), and where real stories about care, change, and strength are celebrated.
Here’s what you can expect:
Becoming Me: Lifestyle posts about values, growth, change, and personal reflections.
Rooted In Care: Nanny wisdom, childcare, and resources for caregivers
Strong in Mind and Body: Fitness and coaching, pre & postpartum strength, and mindset shifts
And as for me?
My dream right now is to continue on my path of growth and learning about myself and all there is to know in the fitness world and share what I’m learning in real time, all while empowering women to reach for more.
If you’ve ever been in a season of starting over, or if you’re figuring out what strength looks like in your own life, I’d love for you to follow along.
